Alcuni piccoli film – Live is the result of the interaction between music and visual arts. In this musical show featuring live projections, each song is paired with a video and the subtle balance of lights and shadows created on stage by the light designer allows musicians to interact with the visual elements. This is the first publication of a songwriter’s live show in DXD/DSD. Gerardo Casiello defines this as “an impressionist experience”; the author tells of one typical day, from awaking to night. Attention to details renders wider concepts, where daily life becomes metaphor of birth, life and death.
Casiello is accompanied by eight musicians and special guests Rita Marcotulli on piano and Riccardo Tesi on diatonic accordion. Winds and strings arrangements are by Tommaso Vittorini . The album cover was made by the visual artists who collaborated in this multimedia project, including Zerocalcare , Riccardo Mannelli and Laura Scarpa .
