All Classic

On All Classic, Per and Jesper chose some of the pieces they love most dearly and have played for many years. From their own arrangement of Händel’s virtuosic Chaconne to the enchanting innocence of Faure’s Dolly Suites, (written by Faure for his daughter), an original from Fernando Sor, the Paganini of the guitar, and of course, a stop along the way to sunny Spain, courtesy of Enrique Granados.

While fans of the guitar will thrill to the Duo’s effortless precision, this is an album that most fully displays the guitar as beloved broadcaster and teacher Jim McCutcheon has described as “the instrument held closest to the heart.”

All Classic was recorded in Thomas Kingos Church in Odense, Denmark by Producer and Recording Engineer Torben Sminge using Neumann TLM-49, Rode NT-4 and DPA 4006 microphones. It was monitored on Millenia HV-3R Preamps, Apogee Analog to Digital Converters and Bricasti Reverb.

The album was mastered in DXD (352.8 Khz) by Preben Iwan using Pyramix Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) Software and Horus Analog to Digital Converters and Preamps from Merging Technologies. Monitored on B&W 802D Nautilus Diamond Speakers.

Per Paisson plays an Antonio Marin Montero Guitar (1999) and Jesper Siveback plays an Antonio Marin Montero Guitar (2006) on All Classic. The album’s Executive Producer is Lars Hannibal.

Jesper Sivebaek and Per Pålsson wish to thank their early teachers, Jorgen Bjorslev and Per-Olof Johnson, for persistently inspiring them to strive for the highest level of musical achievement and instrumental singing.
