Eva Holm Foosnæs

Eva Holm Foosnæs grew up on Steinkjer in Trøndelag and since 2009 has had numerous assignments and engagements as a conductor, rehearsal, accompanist and pianist.

Since 2018, she has also been a full-time freelance composer. She now has her base in Trondheim.

Her compositional work revolves mainly around vocal music, musical theater and opera, but also larger instrumental orchestral works.

Foosnæs has a formal education as a composer through the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Conservatorio di Musica di Perugia and Robert Schumann Hochschule für Musik. Of the scholarships she has received, it is worth mentioning RWE Dea / Norges Forskningsråd, Nord-Trøndelag Kunststipend, Trøndelag Fylkeskommune, Tono and won ASAWCA Allmänna Sången & Anders Wall International Composition Award 2019 and Ortus 4th New Music Competition 2020 (Manhattan New York).
