Pianist Einav Yarden is praised for her “…imagination and exceptionally vivid playing…Sense of immense majesty, tempered by gentleness and quiet grace.” (Washington Post, USA), and her “glistening rapture…ingenious humor” (Tagesspiegel, Germany). In 2005 she completed four years of study with the renowned pianist Leon Fleisher at the Peabody Conservatory (Johns Hopkins University), earning with high honors a Masters of Music and a Graduate Performance Diploma. Prior to that she received a Bachelors of Music from the Rubin Music Academy of the Tel Aviv University under the instruction of Prof. Emanuel Krasovsky, and her early education was with Hadassa Gonen. Other piano guidance includes that of the eminent Georgian pianist Elisso Virsaladze, Richard Goode, and that of Prof. Zvi Meniker (on historical fortepianos).
Einav Yarden has appeared as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin and Rundfunk Chor, Minnesota Symphony, Beethoven Orchester Bonn, Bucharest Philharmonic, Calgary Philharmonic, Philharmonic of Trier, Jerusalem Symphony, Plovdiv Philharmonic, the Israel Symphony Rishon Le-Zion, under conductors Sir Neville Marriner, Aldo Ceccato, Leon Botstein, Stefan Blunier, Horia Andreescu, Mark Russell Smith, Simon Halsey, Mendi Rodan and others.
Since 2012 she spends the summers in northern Chicago as one of the three collaborative pianists at the prestigious program for piano and strings of Ravinia Festival’s Steans Music Institute. Her performances were broadcast on BBC (England), Deutsches Welle, WDR, Deutschlandradio Kultur (Germany), France Musique (France), WQXR (New York), WFMT (Chicago), MPR (Minnesota), WBJC (Baltimore), CBC (Canada) and Israel’s Kol Hamusica. While living in Israel, Einav was a member of the country’s leading contemporary group, the Israeli Contemporary Players with whom she also appeared as a soloist. She continues to integrate contemporary and lesser known repertoire in her performances.
A passionate chamber musician, and devotes herself regularly to collaborations with other musicians. She is now based in Berlin, Germany.
